Our Story
MÉCACI, the Mexican Cultural Art Center of Indiana, was founded in 2022 with a simple belief: every young person deserves to know where they come from and to celebrate it proudly. What began as a shared vision among community members has grown into an Indianapolis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Mexican and Latine youth and families across Central Indiana. Through art, culture, and heritage, we create spaces where the next generation can connect with their roots, express who they are, and carry their traditions forward.

is to empower Mexican youth in Indiana by organizing dynamic art and cultural events that celebrate and strengthen their cultural identity. We focus on providing opportunities for young individuals to connect with their heritage and express their creativity. By forming partnerships and engaging community support, we aim to expand the impact and reach of our programs. Through these efforts, we nurture a vibrant community and ensure the cultural enrichment of the next generation and our home state.
